Trash Services
The HAMLETS HOA – Trash / Recyclables / Yard Waste
1. The HAMLETS HOA community’s trash service is contracted with the Prince William County based vendor Disposal Services, LLC (formerly Charlie & Son).
2. The community trash service is funded for all Lots as part of the HOA’s quarterly assessments.
3. "Trash" is collected twice weekly on Wednesday and Friday with "Recycling" being collected each Wednesday and "Yard Waste" also once a week on Wednesday. NOTE: (There will be NO Yard Waste pick-up the last 2-weeks of January and the entire month of February. Lot owners can place yard waste in the Wednesday/Friday trash pickups during this six week span. As of March 1 the Wednesday yard waste cycle will restart).
4. Lot owners have been provided a vendor issued larger rollout totter for trash, a medium rollout recycle totter or the smaller green bin for recyclable's. Yard waste is collected in only "brown paper bags" or an owner supplied additional Bin.
5. Trash is not collected on the (4) holidays as defined by the vendor: New Year’s Day, 4th of July, Thanksgiving and Christmas days. There will be “no pickup” if one of these four vendor holidays coincide with the community’s scheduled pickup day. If this occurs, the next pickup will be made on the next scheduled pickup day.
6. If Lot owners have larger items and/or special pick-ups they need to contact the vendor directly. There may or may not be a charge but is the responsibility of the Lot owner.
